The rhythmic click-clack of the knitting needles was hypnotic. Sarah sat on her porch swing, the late afternoon sun casting long shadows across the lawn. Her fingers moved with practiced grace, the wool yarn growing into a colorful scarf. Everything felt right, peaceful, complete. The gentle rocking motion, the soft feel of the yarn, the golden light, all combined to lull her into a state of quiet focus.

A message from the clinic arrived. "Important update on your recent tests. Please contact us immediately." Her heart, which had been gently beating, picked up tempo. A sudden unease prickled her skin.
